Mid Valley Megamall Gardens

Both Mid Valley Megamall and neighboring luxurious shopping mall the Gardens is part of Mid Valley City. Within Mid Valley City there are office blocks, a convention centre, residential blocks and a few hotels; including the 5 stars The Gardens Hotel  and the 4 stars Boulevard Hotel . Because of the location outside Kuala Lumpur city center the rooms are often very affordable. Between the two malls there is a boulevard with many nice restaurants and bars. The two malls are also connected through a bridge and an underground corridor.

Jalan Alor

Food streets like Jalan Alor, Petaling Street and Kampung Baru have numerous small restaurants in one big row. You can order wherever you like and sit in front of the restaurants at one of their plastic chairs and tables. Food often is great and very local. Jalan Alor is the best place to visit if your staying in the Bukit Bintang area (city center). Petaling Street is the best place if you are staying around Chinatown. Kampung Baru can be easily reached by LTR (station Kampung Baru); here you can enjoy a nice local meal with fantastic views on the Petronas Twin Towers at the background.

Batu Caves

Batu Caves is a an iconic and popular tourist attraction in Selangor. Site of a Hindu temple and shrine, Batu Caves attracts thousands of worshippers and tourists, especially during the annual Hindu festival, Thaipusam. A limestone outcrop located just north of Kuala Lumpur, Batu Caves has three main caves featuring temples and Hindu shrines. Its main attraction is the large statue of the Hindu God at the entrance, besides a steep 272 climb up its steps to finally view the stunning skyline of the city centre. Monkeys frolic around the caves, and it is a popular spot for rock climbing enthusiasts. Paintings and scenes of Hindu Gods can also be seen in the Ramayana Cave. Batu Caves is a place where you should not miss on your visit to Malaysia!

Chinatown

At the heart of Kuala Lumpur is an area which never sleeps, and far more colourful and bustling than its bigger and more glamourous neighbours, KLCC & Bukit Bintang. Chinatown, based in Petaling Street, is also known as 'Chee Cheong Kai' (Starch Factory Street), a reference to its roots as a tapioca-producing district. Deeply immersed in Oriental culture, heritage and history, Chinatown is undoubtedly one of the most popular tourist spots in Malaysia.

Chinatown is also a well-known bargain hunter’s paradise, a place where you can find all sorts of stuff from Chinese herbs to imitation goods. At night, its main market area, Petaling Street, transforms into a lively and vibrant night market, filled with hundreds of stalls offering all kinds of goods at dirt-cheap prices, and the best thing is, the prices can be brought lower still as haggling is the way of life here

KLCC

There is only one way to describe KLCC: the heart of Kuala Lumpur. At once an entertainment, commercial and business focal point, KLCC is home to some of the most popular landmarks in Malaysia, making it a popular tourist destination. With a host of options to choose from - dining, arts, culture, recreation, sightseeing, shopping and entertainment – you won’t be stuck for ideas on what to do around here.

Described by its developers as ‘A City Within A City’, KLCC offers a myriad of interesting attractions that never cease to wonder, as well as plenty of nightlife, dining and shopping options. KLCC is readily accessible via public transport with many buses operating on various routes within the area and a few train stations nearby.
